The International Institute for IFDAA recently held a constructive workshop focused on the essential life skill of saying “no” at the Multi Service Center in Golestan Province. This initiative was designed to enhance mental health and empower women in the community.

With an enthusiastic group of 35 participants, the workshop provided valuable tools aimed at strengthening assertiveness and helping women prioritize their personal needs and values. Mastering the ability to say “no” is a crucial communication skill that not only guards against social pressures, such as addiction, but also fosters mental well-being and boosts self-esteem.

By acquiring this skill, participants learned to engage assertively and healthily in the face of peer pressure and inappropriate demands. This empowerment can lead to healthier relationships both within families and in the broader community.

The Institute for IFDAA is committed to continuing to offer such educational programs, creating opportunities for personal and social growth among underserved groups. This approach paves the way for sustainable development and enhanced mental wellness throughout society.
